FEA is a powerful tool which provides answers to various engineering problems. We offer our clients a vast array of services, each specifically tailored for the requirement. Whether the need is a beam model analysis, or complex modelling of mechanisms using 3D elements, we have the knowhow, and we have the tools. Importantly, we also offer the transparency in service which guarantees the best possible selection of methodology for the problem at hand. Depending on the requirement of the engineering task, we have capability to perform static analysis, natural frequency analysis, as well as non-linear contact analysis where we can resolve complex problems by simulating the interaction between various components in a mechanism. Our FEA systems provide integration with most major CAD systems. All of these tools we have at our disposal provide a range of benefits to our clients:

Full machine models can be analysed for compliance to Australian and International Standards. We can also perform complex motion analysis predicting effects of motion and collision on structural integrity and machine stability. Failures can be predicted or investigated using linear and non-linear buckling analysis. |
The use of a combination of 1D - Beam elements, 2D - plate/shell or 3D brick elements allows the most optimal element types to be utilised dependant on the area of interest. The use of 3D elements is critical for an in-depth understanding of areas of stress concentrations. Localised stress peaks can otherwise be unnoticed in a simple and inadequate model, potentially manifesting itself in the future through costly repairs.
Contact modelling allowing a realistic transfer of load. Only positive pressure is transferred between surfaces allowing separation of areas in tension. The image above shows a portion of an assembly with the RHS of the connecting plates being in compression and the LHS in tension. This is visible in the exaggerated deformation plot.
Amongst others, we offer support for the following FEA software packages:
